The Constitution of the APEX Council declares the body and its purposes as such:
- Re-establish connection with our vast alumni network to make sure that departed talent continues to inspire and guide current students. This will be done through organising conferences (online and offline) on career counselling and inviting them as judges and moderators for various events.
- Plan and organise relevant events which determine one’s career trajectory in today’s hyper competitive world; these primarily include group discussions, presentation competitions, and hackathons.
- Set up a separate communication channel for proliferation of highlights from various events as well as day to day life at the institution to outside spectators. Being administered by students, it will not only ensure enthusiasm in displaying the intellectual exploits of our school, but also add another layer of creative humour, given their fresh thought process only beginning to develop in this swiftly evolving world. LinkedIn and Instagram will be used as primary online platforms.
- Present regular reports on the day to day functioning of the institution, and keep the management updated on the general outlook of students towards their time here.
These objectives are to be achieved by the setting up committees within APEX. Each committee will have one secretary, and three other members. These members will be appointed by the two Permanent Secretaries to Concilium APEX (PSCA: one male, and one female; who will be members of the teaching staff), on the advice of the members of the Concilium APEX. The PSCA will have a term of three years, and the next occupant of the position will be appointed via voting among the members of the Concilium. Initially, all badge holders will be ex-officio members of the Concilium; other students can apply as well. The applications will be considered by the PSCAs in consultation with the Secretaries of the various committees. These committees will be:
- Alumni Committee; will work towards reaching out to ex-students and maintain contact with them in order to facilitate interaction between passed out talent and current students.
- Organising Committee; will plan and organise various relevant events, and will decide upon the rules and procedures thereof.
- Communication Committee; Will manage the social media accounts under the name of the Concilium, and will upload and post updates on behalf of APEX.
- Evaluation Committee; will conduct review rounds online and gather feedback from students with the guarantee of anonymity. Therefrom they will prepare quarterly reports on the overall learning atmosphere of the institution and submit the same to the concerned authorities.
These measures, and the instruments of implementing these measures, are grounded in one belief, and one belief only: one that pertains to the primacy of students in the institutional framework. Teachers will come and go, so will students. With them, the overall quality of the institution will always vary. Yet, it will be the students, through the Concilium APEX, that will make sure that by the end of their time here, they nonetheless turn out to be the best versions of themselves.
